Jeff Muldrow was owner-operator of a fantastic restaurant in Evanston named Va Pensiero. This restaurant was known for its excellent food, and most of all its excellent service. The men who worked for Va Pensiero took great pride in their work. Like many small businesses in these hard economic times, Jeff fell on hard times and closed his restaurant on Easter Sunday 2010.
Unfortunately, it appears that Jeff didn’t pay his workers their last checks. The men who had worked for him and made his restaurant a great dining experience claim they are owed over $5,000 in unpaid wages, including for earlier paychecks that bounced.
This is theft, plain and simple. The workers of Va Pensiero are merely requesting that Mr. Muldrow pay the wages he owes them for work they completed.
Jeffrey Muldrow also ripped off countless young couples that unknowingly gave him a deposit to cater their 2011 weddings. He knew full well he would not be in business and took their money. He is a crook.
